What RAM Truck Inventory Should You Expect at a South Jersey Dealership in 2025?
An honest look at the 2025 model-year RAM trucks and vans still around this fall, what the 2026 models changed, and how to shop the lot in Woodbury.

Key Takeaways
As of fall 2026, any new 2025 RAM still on a lot is a leftover, and leftovers are often where the largest manufacturer incentives land
The 2025 RAM 1500 had no V8: buyers chose the Pentastar V6 or the Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, and the 5.7L HEMI returned for 2026
RAM’s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty starts with the 2026 model year, so a 2025 leftover keeps the 5-year/60,000-mile coverage
Crew cab 4×4 half-tons in Big Horn and Laramie trim are the most common trucks on South Jersey lots; niche builds often mean a factory order
Certified pre-owned RAMs add a 125-point inspection and a 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty from the original in-service date
What RAM Inventory Is on South Jersey Lots Right Now?
If you’re searching for 2025 RAM trucks, it helps to know where the calendar sits. It’s the end of September 2026. The 2026 model year trucks have been arriving for about a year, and the first 2027 RAM 1500s are already reaching dealers. So a new 2025 RAM on a lot today is a leftover: a truck built for the previous model year that hasn’t sold yet.
That isn’t a bad thing. Leftovers are often the trucks that carry the largest manufacturer incentives, because both the factory and the dealer want them gone before the newer models pile up. The catch is selection. By fall, whatever 2025 units remain in the region are scattered across trims, colors and packages, and you take what’s left rather than building what you want. Below we’ll walk through what the 2025 lineup looked like, what changed for 2026, and how we’d shop either one at our Woodbury store.
What Was Different About the 2025 RAM 1500?
The 2025 RAM 1500 was the year without a V8. RAM retired the 5.7L HEMI for 2025 and built the lineup around the new 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six. The Standard Output version makes 420 hp and 469 lb-ft and was standard from Laramie up. The High Output version makes 540 hp and 521 lb-ft and powered the Limited, Limited Longhorn and Tungsten, plus the new off-road RHO, which took over from the retired TRX. Lower trims such as Tradesman and Big Horn started with the 3.6L Pentastar V6 eTorque at 305 hp, with the Hurricane as an upgrade.
So a 2025 leftover will have either the V6 or a Hurricane, never a HEMI. For most drivers that’s fine. The Standard Output Hurricane is quicker than the old V8, it pulls hard merging onto the Atlantic City Expressway with a trailer on, and a 2025 1500 was rated to tow up to 11,580 pounds when properly equipped. The 2025 model year also brought the new Tungsten luxury trim, the 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen and an available 10.25-inch passenger screen on upper trims.
What Changed When the 2026 RAM 1500 Arrived?
Two things matter most. First, the 5.7L HEMI V8 eTorque came back, rated at 395 hp and 410 lb-ft, and 2026 trucks with it started shipping in late August 2025. Second, RAM added a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty for the original owner of 2026 model-year trucks and vans, excluding fleet purchases and battery-electric vehicles. RAM’s own warranty page says the coverage is effective with 2026 models, so a 2025 leftover keeps the standard 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. The Express trim also returned for 2026 as a value-priced, sporty entry point.
That warranty gap is the main trade-off when you compare a discounted 2025 with a 2026. If you keep trucks ten years, the 2026 coverage may be worth more than the leftover discount. If you trade every four or five years, the 2025 savings may win. Our team can price both side by side so you’re comparing real numbers.
What Changed on the 2025 RAM 2500, 3500 and Chassis Cab?
The 2025 heavy-duty pickups got a major update. The 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel in the 2500 and 3500 pickups moved to a single high-output rating of 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque, paired with a new eight-speed automatic. The standard gas engine stayed the 6.4L HEMI V8 at 405 hp. Inside, the 2025 HD picked up the same big-screen setup as the 1500, with a 12-inch or 14.5-inch touchscreen, an available passenger display and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. Stellantis listed max towing at up to 36,610 pounds on a properly equipped 3500.
The 2025 Chassis Cab (3500, 4500 and 5500) was updated too, with the Cummins rated at 360 hp and 800 lb-ft, the 6.4L HEMI as the gas choice, the new eight-speed automatic, a 12-inch touchscreen and a new power take-off setup that can run from either side. These are the trucks that become dump bodies, service bodies and flatbeds for landscapers and contractors across Gloucester and Salem counties. For 2026, RAM added Black Express and Warlock versions of the 2500 and raised some gross vehicle weight ratings. You can see what we have in Chassis Cab inventory or talk to our commercial team about upfit timing.
What About the RAM ProMaster and ProMaster EV?
The gas ProMaster uses a 3.6L Pentastar V6 (276 hp) with a nine-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, which keeps the load floor low for anyone climbing in and out all day. For 2025, Stellantis listed 16 wheelbase and roof-height combinations, payload up to 4,680 pounds and a longer list of standard driver-assist features. Plumbers, electricians, caterers and delivery operators are the usual buyers, and the high-roof versions let most people stand up inside.
The 2025 ProMaster EV cargo van uses a 110-kWh battery with a targeted combined range of up to 164 miles, 268 hp and up to 3,020 pounds of payload, and Stellantis announced it at $56,495 plus a $1,995 destination charge. It makes the most sense for fixed daily routes, such as local delivery around Deptford and Cherry Hill with overnight charging at the shop. For a van that runs to Cape May one day and Trenton the next, the gas ProMaster is still the easier fit.
The 2026 gas ProMaster changed very little from 2025, so the biggest difference between a leftover van and a new one is the warranty. Gas 2026 ProMasters qualify for the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain coverage when sold to an eligible original owner, but fleet purchases are excluded and the battery-electric ProMaster EV isn’t covered. If you’re a small business buying one or two vans, ask us whether your purchase counts as retail or fleet before you compare prices.

Which RAM Configurations Do South Jersey Dealers Usually Stock?
Every store’s inventory is different and changes weekly, so treat this as a picture of typical patterns in our area, not a count of what’s on our lot today. Our live new RAM inventory shows exactly what we have.
| Model | Typical Buyer | Configurations Commonly Found |
|---|---|---|
| RAM 1500 | Commuters, families, boat and camper owners | Crew cab 4×4 with the 5’7″ bed; Big Horn, Laramie and Warlock; Hurricane or HEMI on 2026 units |
| RAM 2500 | Heavy trailer towing, snowplow setups, trades | Crew cab 4×4; Tradesman and Big Horn; mix of 6.4L HEMI and Cummins |
| RAM 3500 | Fifth-wheel and gooseneck towing, heavy payload | Crew cab 4×4, often Cummins; single and dual rear wheel |
| Chassis Cab 3500/4500/5500 | Landscapers, contractors, municipal and fleet buyers | Regular cab Tradesman, often ordered or upfitted for a specific body |
| ProMaster | Service trades, delivery, small businesses | Cargo vans in 2500 and 3500 high roof, 159-inch wheelbase |
| ProMaster EV | Fleets with fixed local routes and depot charging | Limited stock; usually located or ordered on request |
The crew cab 4×4 half-ton dominates for a simple reason. It’s the truck that fits the most South Jersey lives: room for kids or a work crew, four-wheel drive for the one or two storms a year that actually stick, and enough towing for a boat. Big Horn is the volume trim because it’s where most buyers land once they add the features they want. Laramie is the step up for leather, the bigger screen and the Hurricane as standard. If you want to see how the trims differ before you visit, our RAM model research page lays them out.
Which RAM Trucks Are Harder to Find, and Why Order One?
Dealers stock what sells quickly in their market. Around here, that means some builds rarely show up on a lot. Regular cab and two-wheel-drive half-tons are less common than you’d expect. So are 6’4″ beds on the 1500, top trims like Tungsten and RHO in a specific color, Mega Cab heavy-duties, dual-rear-wheel 3500s with a particular axle ratio, and any truck with a very specific mix of packages. The ProMaster EV is another one you’ll usually need to request.
That’s what a custom factory order is for. You choose the engine, axle ratio, bed length, packages and color, and the truck is built to that spec. Timing depends on the model, the order bank and production schedules, so it can take anywhere from several weeks to a few months, and we’ll give you an honest estimate when we submit it. For a contractor who needs a certain payload rating or a boat owner who wants the air suspension and the towing package together, waiting often beats settling.
How Should You Shop a 2025 Leftover RAM?
A leftover can be a very good deal. It can also be a truck that sat for a reason. Before you sign, run through these points:
- Compare against a 2026 with the same equipment. Line up the 2025 and a similar 2026 on price after incentives rather than MSRP.
- Factor in the warranty difference. A 2025 has 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain coverage; an eligible 2026 has 10 years/100,000 miles for the original owner.
- Confirm the engine you want. A 2025 1500 will have the Pentastar V6 or a Hurricane. If a V8 matters to you, you need a 2026 or newer.
- Ask how the incentive is structured. Cash back, special APR and lease support often can’t be combined, and the best choice depends on how you’re paying.
- Check the truck itself. Look at the in-service status, tire date codes and battery health on any unit that has sat through a summer.
- Think about resale. A leftover is a model year older on paper the day you buy it, which matters more if you’ll trade in a few years.
Incentives change month to month and differ by model, trim and region. We won’t guess at a number here. The current programs are on our offers and incentives page, and our team can tell you which ones apply to a specific truck.

When Does RAM Inventory Change During the Year?
RAM doesn’t flip every model year on the same date, and that’s part of why the lot can look confusing. The 2026 HEMI trucks began shipping in late summer 2025, heavy-duty and van model years follow their own timing, and the 2027 1500 is arriving now in the fall of 2026. During those overlaps you’ll often see two model years of the same truck parked next to each other. That’s usually when the outgoing year gets its strongest support.
A few other patterns repeat. Late winter into spring is tax-refund season, and many buyers use a refund as a down payment, so popular trims can move faster from February through April. Late spring and early summer bring boat and camper buyers looking for tow-ready half-tons before Memorial Day. The end of the calendar year is busy too: dealers work toward annual targets, and many business owners buy work trucks before December 31 for tax planning, which is a conversation to have with your accountant, not with us. Then the first real snow of the winter tends to send people looking for four-wheel drive all at once.
Should You Consider a Certified Pre-Owned or Used RAM Instead?
For a lot of buyers, yes. A late-model certified pre-owned RAM can cost meaningfully less than a new truck and still carry real factory coverage. RAM’s CPO program requires a 125-point inspection by trained technicians and a CARFAX vehicle history report, and it includes a 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty measured from the truck’s original in-service date, plus 3 months/3,000 miles of Maximum Care coverage and roadside assistance. Eligibility generally covers trucks within five model years and under 75,000 miles.
If a CPO truck is more than you need, our regular used inventory includes plenty of 1500s and heavy-duties, and every used vehicle we sell is inspected and backed by our 6-month/6,000-mile warranty. A 2019 to 2024 RAM 1500 with the 5.7L HEMI is also one way to get a V8 without buying new. Whichever route you take, the rust check matters here. Trucks that spent winters on salted Jersey roads should get a good look underneath, and we’re happy to put any truck on a lift so you can see it for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still buy a new 2025 RAM truck?
Sometimes. By fall 2026, the new 2025 RAMs still on dealer lots are leftovers, and availability varies by model and trim. Check our live inventory or ask our team to search for a specific configuration.
Did the 2025 RAM 1500 have a HEMI V8?
No. The 2025 RAM 1500 offered the 3.6L Pentastar V6 eTorque and the 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six in Standard and High Output versions. The 5.7L HEMI V8 eTorque returned for the 2026 model year.
Does a 2025 RAM get the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty?
No. RAM applies that coverage to the original owner of 2026 model-year trucks and vans, excluding fleet purchases and battery-electric models. A new 2025 RAM comes with the 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.
