What's new for the 2018 Dodge Durango?

The Dodge Durango is excited to release a variety of changes for the 2018 model year, each of which puts more power, control, and value in the hands of the buyer. The most notable change of 2018 is the addition of the Dodge Durango SRT-a trim level that takes the Durango from bold and aggressive to the fastest, most capable, and most powerful three-row SUV on the market. This trim level has also been awarded a place on Wards 10 Best User Experience List. The Durango SRT boasts 475 horsepower, an 8,600-pound towing capacity, a quarter-mile time of 12.9 seconds, and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 in a mere 4.4 seconds. 2018 brings the debut of a 7-inch touchscreen and rearview camera that replaces the former 5-inch touchscreen without a rearview camera found on select Durango models; other models retain an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. GT models may now be equipped with a functional performance hood, a new front fascia, and a new lower valence. R/T models now share some styling cues with the new SRT trim. All Durango models now feature a sport steering wheel trimmed in leather and equipped with integrated paddle shifters and a new driver-oriented electronic shifter with intuitive gear selection. There are also two new paint colors, B5 Blue and In Violet Metallic.

What powertrain options are available for the 2018 Dodge Durango?

There are now three engines available for the 2018 Dodge Durango. These engines are paired exclusively with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Excluding the SRT, all Durango models offer standard rear-wheel drive, although all-wheel drive is available. The first engine in the Durango lineup, standard on all but the R/T and SRT, is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, capable of outputting 290 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. A 5.7-liter HEMI V8 is standard for R/T models and optional for Citadel models, offering 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available with an all-wheel-drive system that can turn the Durango into a capable off-road SUV. SRT models come exclusively with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 powered by SRT that unleashes 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.

What features and trim levels are available for the 2018 Dodge Durango?

There are five trim levels for the 2018 Dodge Durango lineup: SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, and SRT. Base SXT models are well-equipped, offering 18-inch alloy wheels, the previously mentioned sport steering wheel, cruise control, keyless entry and ignition, heated mirrors, automatic headlights, foglights, tri-zone climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth phone connectivity, a rearview camera, six speakers, an SD card reader, a USB port, and an auxiliary audio jack. Feature offerings only increase from there!
